As of the writing of this
edition, Hall-rigged yachts have swept the podium in the Maxi 2 class at Les Voiles
de St. Barths - an impressive regatta for Lupa of London, Selene
and Stark Raving Mad VII. Claiming the top two in CSA Spinnaker 0, TP52s
Vesper and Sorcha held
strong throughout the event. The Hall advantage helped sail these boats to
victory.
The year began with a win for Ker
46 Partrice, rig by Hall NZ, claiming IRC Division 1 victory in the
Sydney-Hobart Race by over 2 hours, beating out many larger grand prix yachts.
Next up, Tonnerre 4 (left) at Key West Race Week, with Ker 43 Otra Vez
coming in a close second in IRC 2. In March, Swan 80 Selene took first
in IRC Class A at the Rolex Swan Caribbean Cup, and Baltic/RP 147 Visione
followed with a Class A win at the St. Barth's Bucket at the end of the month.
Hall-rigged yachts continue to place in the top three at events
the world over - can't wait to see what the rest of 2015 has in store!
