Nacra 17 Fleet Wins with Hall

The Hall-equipped Nacra 17 performance catamaran continues to evolve with much success. The fast-growing class went into production in 2012, and after the first year of sailing, Hall Spars & Rigging was charged with the task of creating a new, fully optimized carbon rig to improve performance. Hall came through as promised, with the team at Hall BV in Breskens, Holland manufacturing 320 Nacra 17 rigs in just one year.

The stellar reputation of these cats spread quickly, and the new Hall rigs helped the Nacra 17 garner a 2013 Catamaran Sailing News Boat of the Year Award. In addition, the ISAF and IOC elected to bring back the mixed multihull category for the Olympics, sending the Nacra 17 fleet to Rio in 2016 and Tokyo in 2020.

After 81 entries competed in Heyeres, France for the ISAF Sailing World Cup, the class is preparing for the ISAF World Championships in Santander in September.
